Reservation and cancellation termsThe reservation and cancellation terms apply to room reservations and additional services made via email, phone, hotel reception, and the website. These terms apply to accommodations booked by both individuals and companies, unless a separate agreement has been made. The hotel reserves the right to apply special terms that differ from these conditions. Non-refundable – binding reservation This rate is only available on the website and mobile app. The reservation can be changed but cannot be canceled, and the payment is non-refundable. Changing the reservation: The arrival date, number of nights, room type, and number of guests can be changed. A single reservation cannot be split into multiple reservations. Any increase in room price due to changes must be paid at check-in. A change resulting in a lower room rate than the prepaid amount will not be refunded. The reservation can be changed until 18:00 Finnish time on the arrival date. Changes must be made through our reception. Payment is required at the time of booking. Flexible reservationThe reservation can be changed or canceled free of charge until 18:00 on the arrival date. Payment is made at check-in at our reception. Booking and confirmation Reservations can be made by email, phone, at the hotel reception, or through the hotel’s online store at www.hotellipuustellinivala.fi. Reservations can only be made by adults. When making a reservation, the customer must fill in the required information on the form. Reservations made online are confirmed by a text message that includes the ordered products with VAT-inclusive prices. If you do not receive a reservation confirmation, please contact the hotel immediately. Reservations made by email or phone are generally confirmed in the same way the reservation was made. Reservations made in person are confirmed verbally. Please inform us of any special requests when making the reservation. Accommodation for Minors Hotel services and products can only be booked by an adult. The person booking for a minor is personally responsible for the minor, whether or not they accompany the minor. A minor staying without a guardian may be required to present an ID during the stay. The guardian must fill out and submit the form for a minor’s stay found on the hotel’s website before the start of the accommodation. Hotel Arrival The hotel room is available from 14:00 on the arrival day and must be vacated by 12:00 on the departure day. For safety reasons, only registered guests are allowed in the hotel rooms. The maximum room occupancy must not be exceeded. The room is held until 18:00 on the arrival date. If late arrival has not been confirmed with the hotel reception, the hotel has the right to cancel the reservation and sell the room to another customer after 18:00. If the customer does not arrive, has not canceled the reservation in advance, or cancels the reservation after 18:00, the customer will be charged for one night's stay. If you arrive at the hotel at the agreed arrival time and the reserved room is not available, the hotel must assist in booking the nearest equivalent accommodation without additional cost. Changes to departure date Notice of early departure must be given to the hotel by 18:00 the day before the departure date. If you wish to extend your stay, inform the hotel by 18:00 the day before the original departure date. The reservation can be extended if availability allows. Changes may affect the accommodation price. Pets in the hotel Pets are welcome to stay at the hotel. Pets are not allowed in the restaurant or pub. A fee according to the price list is charged for pets. Pets must be reported at the time of reservation. The customer is personally responsible for any damage or costs caused by the pet to the hotel or other guests. Pets must not cause disturbance in the hotel. Customer behavior in the hotel Good manners and hotel rules must be followed. If a customer violates these rules, they may be immediately removed from the hotel. The customer must pay for their accommodation and any additional services ordered, and no refund for payments already made can be demanded. Customer liability for damage The customer is responsible for any damage caused intentionally or negligently (like smoking in the room) by the customer, their guests, or pets to the room or other hotel facilities, furniture, or equipment, as well as to other guests or their property. The hotel interior is completely non-smoking. Liability for damage is determined according to general principles of compensation. Hotel liability for customer property The customer is responsible for their own luggage. The hotel is not responsible for property stored in the room's safe. The hotel is not liable for damage to or loss of vehicles or property inside them in the hotel parking area. Payment methods Products are paid for at the time of order. We accept most common payment cards. The hotel is not obliged to accept foreign currency, vouchers, checks, or credit cards unless the hotel has offered to do so. Corporate customers can also pay by invoice. Be prepared to provide at least the name, address, business identity code, and delivery address for the electronic or paper invoice at the time of reservation. Note that approving a company as an invoicing customer may take several business days. Cancellation terms Cancellation must be made by 18:00 on the arrival date at the latest unless otherwise agreed at the time of reservation, or if the chosen rate or reservation period involves other terms. The hotel has the right to charge the price of the first night, including taxes, and any additional services related to the reservation if the customer does not arrive as agreed, cancels the reservation after 18:00. Cancellation may be made free of charge, and any advance payments may be refunded if the reason for the cancellation is a serious illness, accident, death, or other unexpected and serious event affecting the customer or a close relative. However, the hotel has the right to deduct the handling costs of the reservation from the refundable amount. Cancellation or interruption during the accommodation does not entitle a refund. Force majeure Hotelli Puustelli Nivala has the right to cancel the reservation due to compelling reasons, i.e., force majeure. In this case, the reservation amount will be refunded in full to the customer. Other We reserve the right to change terms and prices.
